Welcome to the island of Elba
In May 2007 we met again, this time on the Italian island of Elba. We endeavoured to create a relevant and exciting forum to discuss the topics that you felt matter most. You helped shape the program through your contributions and watched the event develop on the meeting website.

The event for you.
Whether you work with plasma product R&D, manufacturing, economics, safety, clinical, regulatory, or any other relevant issue, and want to make an active contribution to PPB07, or simply wish to follow the presentations and discussions to keep abreast of new developments, this is the event for you.

Program structure
The main scientific sessions covered key issues on the route from initial discovery to the production of approved plasma products. Each session was developed by the chairperson and the meeting also included a keynote lecture and a special focus lecture. Particular emphasis was placed on promoting networking and discussion. There was also opportunity for poster presentations.

Site visit to Kedrion SpA
We were especially excited to be able to present an opportunity to combine the meeting with a site visit to Kedrion Biopharmaceuticals in Bolognana - Gallicano, not far from Lucca and Pisa. This took place on Monday, May 7, 2007.
